In such a situation, people of Dakshin Bhabanipur village of Jaduboyra union of Kumarkhali upazila of Kushtia are praying for rain.
The prayers were held on Wednesday (April 28) morning at Kharela Bill. More than three and a half hundred villagers took part in the prayers.

In this, Allah has turned His face away from the people. Allah does not give rain for a year. As a result, the field is bursting and the crops of the field are being burnt. Public life has become very miserable in the heat.

Imam of Chowrangi Bazar Jame Mosque Maulana Mohammad Jubayr conducted ‘Istiska’ prayers for this rain. After the prayers, he recited the khutbah and led the prayers.
At the end of the prayers, Imam Jubayr said that man has gone to the highest level of his sin. In this, Allah has turned His face away from the people. As a result, people, animals and livestock are suffering from extreme drought. He further said, "We have prayed ‘Istiska’ prayers and cried for forgiveness from Allah." Prayers will continue till Friday.
