CAAB to start int'l commercial flights from Saturday

Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has decided to re-start international commercial flights from May 1 (Saturday) Subject to special conditions.

CAAB has circulated a gazette notification in this regard signed by its public relations officer Md. Sohel Kamruzzaman on Friday.

The notice said CAAB has decided to re-launch to start international commercial flights from May 1 by imposing special conditions on travel to 38 countries considering the corona infection rate in the country.

It also said air bubble flights have been suspended and communication with higher risk countries has been disconnected. Passengers coming from risky countries will be kept under a mandatory 14-day institutional quarantine.

However, passengers coming from unlisted countries except Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait will be kept 14-day home quarantine by showing PCR negative certificates.

CAAB urged all to maintain health safety guidelines properly and sought cooperation.
