Nusrat Jahan, the elder sister of victim Munia, has been threatened with death on her mobile phone to withdraw the case filed in connection with the death of college student Mosarat Jahan Munia in a posh flat in Gulshan.
The plaintiff in the case on Saturday (May 1) lodged a written complaint with Cumilla Kotwali Police Station seeking her own safety.
After recovering Munia's body from the flat in Gulshan, Nusrat Jahan Tania filed a case against Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir at Gulshan Police Station alleging incitement to suicide.
Nusrat alleged that she was receiving threats on her mobile phone to withdraw and resolve the case.
She said in the GD that the accused Sayem Sobhan Anvir is creating pressure to withdraw the case. She has been receiving threats to withdraw the case from several mobile numbers since last Wednesday for not responding to it.
She also claimed that she and her husband were being threatened with various harms, including 'abduction and murder'.
