Police arrested 42 people from various spots of the capital on charge of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Barta24.com on Sunday (May 2).
Police arrested them from 6:00 am on Saturday to Sunday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.
A total of 1,037 pieces of yaba, 551 gram heroin, 29.700 KG hemp and 200 bottles phensedyl were seized from their possession.
Thirty four cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under narcotic control act.
