Noakhali's Bashurhat municipality mayor and younger brother of Awami League General Secretary Abdul Quader Mirza said bureaucratic government runs the country.
He said, "Today government employees think they have brought the Awami League in state power. It is true. They were involved with the vote rigging. That is why they do everything as per their wish. They are leading the country. There is no democratic government in the country. I don't care anyone."
Quader Mirza said this while distributing financial assistance among six fire affected businessmen at Bashurhat municipality office on Sunday (May 2).
Quader Mirza's follower Ayyub Ali circulated the speech through his facebook account which went viral. However, Ayyub Ali later deleted the post.
