Police arrested 44 people from various spots of the capital on charge of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Barta24.com on Monday (May 3).
Police arrested them from 6:00 am on Sunday to Monday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.
A total of 11,951 pieces of yaba, 141 gram heroine, 49.5 KG hemp and 103 bottles phensedyl were seized from their possession.
Twenty seven cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under narcotic control act.
