A motorcyclist was killed as a CNG-run auto rickshaw hit the motorcycle from behind at Sadullapur-Madarganj road on Tuesday (May 4) afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Alamgir Hossain, 33, son of late Kashem Member of Bongram union under Sadullapur upazila.
Local sources said Alamgir Hossain was going to Sadullapur from Madarganj by motorcycle. When he reached near Abu Hossain brick kiln in Khurdo Rasulpur area, a CNG-run auto rickshaw hit the motorcycle from behind and he fell in the road by losing control over the steering of the motorcycle.
He was rushed to Sadullapur upazila health complex and later shifted to Rangpur medical college hospital. Alamagir succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.
Bongram union member Shah Alam Mia said he heard the accident from the people.
