Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said the government will consider BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia's treatment abroad in a positive way.

On Wednesday night (May 5), Khaleda Zia's younger brother Shamim Iskander met the Home Minister and made a written request for her treatment abroad. The Home Minister told reporters after the meeting.

Earlier, Shamim Iskander went to the Home Minister's house at around 8.30 pm.

The Home Minister said that the Prime Minister has given maximum opportunity for the treatment of Begum Khaleda Zia. Khaleda Zia's younger brother Shamim Iskander came. He said Khaleda Zia was admitted to the hospital. Doctors have suggested she needs to be taken abroad. We haven’t heard from the doctors though. The Prime Minister is very generous in these matters. We will look into this matter positively. The next decision will be taken after examining it in the law ministry by tomorrow.

In response to a question, he said that there are many legal issues involved in sending him abroad. Do I need a court order? That too must be seen. An application has been sent to the law ministry for that. Their opinion will actually be the next step. We are certainly looking positively. I suspended her sentence because I was looking positively and arranged for her treatment.

Khaleda Zia was sampled at noon on Saturday, 14 days after Corona was attacked. Her report also came positive in the second test.

BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia has been undergoing treatment at the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of Evercare Hospital since last Monday. She was taken to CCU from the cabin due to shortness of breath. However, her physical condition has not changed much in CCU. The problem of shortness of breath has not been completely cured. Khaleda Zia was admitted to the hospital on April 27. Earlier on April 11, she was infected by Corona.
