Police arrested 51 people from various spots of the capital on charge of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Barta24.com on Thursday (May 6).
Police arrested them from 6:00 am on Wednesday to Thursday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.
A total of 1,730 pieces of yaba, 340 gram heroine and 17.245 KG hemp and 100 bottles phensedyl were seized from their possession.
Thirty two cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under narcotic control act.
