Gonoshasthya Kendra founder Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury on Friday (May 7) demanded the release of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia who is admitted to CCU of Evercare Hospital in the capital.
He made the demand while distributing 820 packets relief among poor and helpless people.
Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury said, "Khaleda Zia's condition is very critical due to lack of proper treatment in the country. Release is her only treatment. Timeliness decisions will be taken by forgetting the past. Cure from disease is impossible without mental strength. I urge the government to release Khaleda Zia besides the students.
He also urged BNP leaders and activists to wage movement in the street to meet demands of the people.
