Police in a drive arrested two people with 13 KG hemp from the capital's Sher-e-Banglanagar on Saturday (May 8) night.
Arrestees were identified as Md. Ashiqur Rahman and Nazma Begum.
Additional deputy police commissioner Md. Kaisar Rizvi Kuraisi confirmed the matter on Sunday (May 9).
Kaisar Rizvi said acting on a tip-off, detective branch police arrested Ashiqur Rahman and Nazma Begum from Sher-e-Banglanagar with 13 KG hemp which they brought from Brahmanbaria.
A case was filed with Sher-e-Banglanagar police station in this connection, he added.
