In this last decade(last 10 day part) of Ramadan, that is, in the decade of salvation or liberation, the night of good fortune, Lailatul Qadr, has been given the status of superiority of all nights by Allah. This night has blessings as well as welfare and significance. Allah had revealed the Holy Qur'an on this auspicious night.

In His holy book Al-Qur'an, Allah said about this great night,

‘Surely I have sent down the Qur’an on a dignified (Qadr) night and what will inform you, what is‘ Lailatul Qadr ’? Lailatul Qadr is better than a thousand nights. That night the Faristas and the Kamel Ruh are sent down with all things according to the command of their Lord. '(Surah Qadr)

Therefore, Allah's Messenger (PBUH) used to try hard in the last ten days of Ramadan to get this auspicious night. And in saying goodbye to Ramadan, our Prophet (PBUH) used to say that when the spiritual spring came to show its brilliance, he would tie it around his waist and make no mistake about filling his basket for the welfare of Ramadan.

We know from a Hadith narrated by Hazrat Ayesha (RA) about the last ten days of worship of the Prophet (PBUH) that when he entered the last ten days of Ramadan, he (PBUH) used to fasten his waist, that is, he was very active and lived his nights through worship. At the same time, Mahabi (peace be upon him) used to wake up his family members (Bukhari, Kitabus Soom).

Lailatul Qadr comes one night in this last decade of Ramadan. During this decade, the Prophet (PBUH) used to keep the nights awake through worship in search of Lailatul Qadr. Lailatul Qadr or the night of good fortune is the greatest achievement of a believer. The moment that comes to the believer after killing the demon in the form of satanic instinct through hard pursuit, renunciation and abstinence all his life is the moment of power which is called ‘Lailatul Qadr’ in Surah Qadr of Al-Quran. This moment is better than a thousand months.

By Lailatul Qadr we usually think of a night. Due to the fact that there are no nights at the same time all over the world for geographical reasons, it does not seem right to set Lailatul Qadr as a night of our reckoning. Lailatul Qadr at such a time works like a night in the personal life of the believer or in the national life.

At the end of the believer's pursuit, the believer attains the sight or closeness of his Lord. This moment is actually Lailatul Qadr in his life. However, it can be said without any doubt that this moment must come in the life of a believer in the last decade of the hard work of Ramadan. Through the practice of fasting, a pious believer abstains from food and drink, spends time in the remembrance of Allah by reducing sleep, in return for which he is blessed with this auspicious night.

Hazrat Rasool Karim (PBUH) did not mention any specific date for this night. Just instructed to search on the odd night of the last decade of Ramadan. Narrated from Hazrat Ayesha (RA), the Prophet (PBUH) said about the night of Qadr ‘Search for Lailatul Qadr in the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan’ (Bukhari).

We need to explore Lailatul Qadr on the odd nights of this last decade. So, in the remaining days of Ramadan, let's make a radical change in Ibadat and try our best to bring ourselves to the point of prayer by accepting good deeds. I always pray to the Merciful Lord to forgive us and save us, Amen.
