Police arrested 39 people from various spots of the capital on charge of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Barta24.com on Tuesday (May 11).
Police arrested them from 6:00 am on Monday to Tuesday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.
A total of 22,572 pieces of yaba, 176 gram heroine and 1.63 KG hemp were seized from their possessions.
Twenty nine cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under narcotic control act.
