Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said total work progress of country’s first metro rail is 63.26 percent
He came up with the information at a discussion on work progress of various projects under Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited in capital’s Uttara Tuesday (May 11) morning.
Obaidul Quader joined the meeting virtually from his official residence.
The bridges minister said work progress of Uttara third phase to Agargaon is 84.79 percent in the first phase and work progress of Agargaon to Matijheel part is 59.78 percent in the first phase.
Total integrated work progress of rolling stock and depot equipment collection is 54.40 percent, he added.
Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited managing director M.A.N Siddique, Road Transport and Highways Division Secretary Nazrul Islam, project director Aftab Uddin talukdar, Japanese ambassador to Bangladesh Ito Naoki and JICA chief representative to Bangladesh Hayakawa Yuho attended the meeting.
The Road Transport and Bridges Minister said viaduct performance test will be launched over main line in August this year.
