A youth and a woman were killed in separate road accidents in Bangabandhu Bridge West intersection area and Tobaria under Raiganj upazila of Sirajganj district on Thursday (May 13) morning.
Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately after the accident.
Bangabandhu Bridge West police station officer-in-charge Mosaddeq Hossain said a truck ran over a youth at Bangabandhu Bridge West intersection while he was passing the road leaving him injured seriously.
The injured was rushed to Sheikh Fazilutunnesa Sheikh Mujib Hospital in Sirajganj where he succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, Hatikumrul police station officer-in-charge Mizanur Rahman said a woman was passing Tobaria area on Dhaka-Bogura highway and ran over by a unanimous car.
Hearing the news, police recovered the body, he added.
