The ongoing closure of the educational institutions has been extended till May 29.
This information has been circulated in a press release of the Ministry of Education on Saturday (May 15).
According to the statement, the recent Covid- 19 pandemic has been on the rise in Bangladesh and other parts of the world. In view of the increased transmission of the virus considering the health safety of the students, teachers, staff and the guardians; government has decided to extend the closure.
However, online education activities will continue during this time and teachers-students and parents will follow the hygiene rules.
All educational institutions in the country have been closed since March 17 after the corona infection was detected on March 8 last year. The educational institution was supposed to reopen on May 23 after extending the closure.
