Passport holders are traveling every day with special clearance from the Bangladesh Embassy in Kolkata amid the Bangladesh government's travel ban on corona infection.

According to immigration sources, 3,314 Bangladeshis returned from India from April 26 to the morning of May 21 since the beginning of the ban. Among them, 17 Bangladeshis have returned from India after being infected with corona. The institutional quarantine started from April this year till today, among the passengers returning to India, corona positive was detected in the bodies of 47 people. The Indian variant of Corona was also found in the bodies of 6.

Bichitra Mallick, medical officer of the Benapole Immigration Health Department, said six Bangladeshis returned from India on Friday. They have also been kept in institutional quarantine for 14 days at Dargah Madrasa and various residential hotels in Jashore. They will be allowed to return home later when the risk is free. And those who are returning infected with corona or returning to the country are being kept in the red zone of the corona unit.

Meanwhile, some helpless passengers returning from India said that had medical services ben improved in the country, they would not have had to go to India for treatment at the risk of their lives. The money of the country would remain in the country; the sufferings of the people would be less. Experience from Corona, especially the medical service needs to be modernized.

Benapole Immigration OC Ahsan Habib said Bangladeshis staying in India are returning every day with NOCs from the Kolkata embassy. Indians stuck in Bangladesh are also going the same way. Besides, some Bangladeshis have also gone to India with special clearances under the travel ban.
