Honors-Masters courses going to be closed in private colleges!

Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni has said that Honors-Masters will be discontinued at private college level to increase self-employment and create entrepreneurship.

She announced the government's plan at a virtual press conference on Wednesday (May 26).

"At the private college level, we have decided to discontinue these Honors-Masters in phases so that students can study at the degree level and take degree examinations," she said. This plan is being taken to transform the population into skilled human resources.

Dipu Moni said, there is no need for Honors-Masters in all colleges. This is creating educated unemployed in many cases. The government does not want to create educated unemployed. We want to transform the population into efficient human resources. This is an attempt to expand appropriate education for this purpose.

However, she also said that Honors-Masters is not being closed in the colleges right now.

Assuring those who are now enrolling in Honors-Masters, Dipu Moni said they will wait till the end of their education.

She said that there are 13 centenary colleges in the country, there are some good colleges, where there are all kinds of suitable arrangements, they can run Honors-Masters courses.
