Police arrested 61 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Barta24.com on Friday (June 5).
Police arrested them from 6:00 am on Thursday to Friday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.
A total of 3,605 pieces of yaba, 717 gram heroine and 59.35 kg hemp were seized from their possessions.
Forty two cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under narcotic control act.
