Police arrested 48 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Barta24.com on Saturday (June 12).
Police arrested them from 6:00 am on Friday to Saturday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.
A total of 1,086 pieces of yaba, 137 gram heroine, 4.57 kg hemp, 10 cans bear and 4 bottles phensidyle were seized from their possessions.
Thirty eight cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under narcotic control act.
