Police arrested 63 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Barta24.com on Monday (June 14).
Police arrested them from 6:00 am on Sunday to Monday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.
A total of 8,664 pieces of yaba, 265 gram heroine, 63.23 kg hemp, 37 bottles phensidyle, 30 injection and 16 liters local liquor were seized from their possessions.
Forty five cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under narcotic control act.
