The authorities have decided to give auto pass to the first year honors students of the national university conditionally. And second- and third-year undergraduate students are being considered for oral or online exams.

The matter has been confirmed by the Registrar of the National University Mollah Mahfuz Al-Hossain.

He said students admitted three years ago but due to the Corona situation are still in their first year of honors. In this situation, it has been decided to promote them to second year conditionally. In this case, the student has to pass the examination of the first year subjects before completing the honors. And second and third year students are thinking of passing the next year through an online exam or viva.

He further said that a notification in this regard will be issued soon.

However, Mullah Mahfuz Al-Hussein refused to call this method 'auto pass'.

"We have decided to give auto pass to the first year students conditionally," he said. If the corona situation is normal, we will take a in –person examination. Then the students who got an auto pass have to pass those exams.

Asked about the admission process for students in the current 2020-21 academic year, Professor Mashiur Rahman said, "We have stopped the admission process for the first year of graduation due to Corona." Although the admission process is done online, the admission fee has to be paid to the college. As a result, students and parents are at risk. We do not want to put them at risk.
