Police arrested 48 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Barta24.com on Wednesday (June 23).
Police arrested them from 6:00 am on Tuesday to Wednesday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.
A total of 15,455 pieces of yaba, 357 gram heroine, 3.83 kg hemp, 198 bottles phensidyle and 6 liter local liquor were seized from their possessions.
Thirty nine cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under narcotic control act.
