Police arrested 67 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Barta24.com on Sunday (June 27).
Police arrested them from 6:00 am Saturday to Sunday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.
A total of 12,934 pieces of yaba, 270 gram heroine, 150 bottles phensidyle, 7 bottle foreign liquor, 217 kg hemp, 130 tablets, 184 bottle eskuf and 4 cann bear were seized from their possessions.
Forty seven cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under narcotic control act.
