Police arrested 18 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Barta24.com on Saturday (July 3).
Police arrested them from 6:00 am Friday to Saturday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.
A total of 7,466 pieces of yaba, 28 gram heroine and 200 gram hemp were seized from their possessions.
Fifteen cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under narcotic control act.
