Police arrested 37 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Barta24.com on Monday (July 5).
Police arrested them from 6:00 am Sunday to Monday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.
A total of 17,742 pieces of yaba, 54 gram heroine, 1.90 gram hemp, 31 bottles phensidyle and 20 drug injections were seized from their possessions.
Thirty three cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under narcotic control act.
