Police arrested 60 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Barta24.com on Friday (July 16).
Police arrested them from 6:00 am Thursday to Friday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.
A total of 14,424 pieces of yaba, 200 gram heroine and 8.70 Kg hemp and 120 cann bear were seized from their possessions.
Forty one cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under narcotic control act.
