Police arrested 36 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Barta24.com on Saturday (July 17).
Police arrested them from 6:00 am Friday to Saturday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.
A total of 1,037 pieces of yaba, 168 gram heroine and 450 gram were seized from their possessions.
Twenty five cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under narcotic control act.
