Police arrested 47 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Barta24.com on Tuesday (July 27).
Police arrested them from 6:00 am Monday to Tuesday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.
A total of 9,629 pieces of yaba, 244 gram heroine and 3.20 Kg hemp were seized from their possessions.
Thirty four cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under narcotic control act.
