Police arrested 29 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Barta24.com on Wednesday (July 28).
Police arrested them from 6:00 am Tuesday to Wednesday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.
A total of 2,203 pieces of yaba, 2.15 Kg hemp, 43 bottles phensidyle and 24 cans bear were seized from their possessions.
Twenty four cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under narcotic control act.
