Police arrested 37 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Barta24.com on Thursday (July 29).
Police arrested them from 6:00 am Wednesday to Thursday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.
A total of 2,994 pieces of yaba, 5.75 Kg hemp and 460 gram heroine were seized from their possessions.
Thirty six cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under narcotic control act.
