Police arrested 39 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Barta24.com on Monday (August 2).
Police arrested them from 6:00 am Sunday to Monday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.
A total of 6,207 pieces of yaba, 22.25 Kg hemp and 100 gram heroine, 110 bottles foreign liquor and 60 bottles local liquor were seized from their possessions.
Twenty five cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under narcotic control act.
