Police arrested 50 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Barta24.com on Wednesday (August 4).
Police arrested them from 6:00 am Tuesday to Wednesday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.
A total of 21,786 pieces of yaba, 1.45 Kg hemp and 210 gram heroin and 7 cans bear were seized from their possessions.
Thirty nine cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under narcotic control act.
