‘Philosophy of Bangabandhu must be established through implementation of BAKSAL’

Not only Bangabandhu was killed on the night of August 15, but also the philosophy of Mujibbad was killed. Bangabandhu wanted economic emancipation of this nation. He wanted to ensure democracy, humanity, secularism. This philosophy of Bangabandhu has to be established through the implementation of his BAKSAL program.

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque said this at a discussion meeting organized by the Jagannath University Teachers' Association on the occasion of National Mourning Day on Saturday (August 14). The discussion meeting was held online.

The minister said, "If we analyze the constitution of 1972, we will find Bangabandhu's philosophy." The assassins of August 15 not only killed Bangabandhu, they killed the philosophy of Mujibbad.

Jagannath University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Md. Imdadul Haque and Treasurer Professor Kamaluddin Ahmed were present as special guests. Jagannath University Professor of Social Work Md. Anowar Hossain presented the key-note paper.

 Former Pro- Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Dr. Nasreen Ahmed was the main speaker. Prof. Arun Kumar Goswami, Jagannath University Teachers Association President presided over the function.

During this time the speakers presented various aspects of Bangabandhu's life, Bangabandhu's ideology, Bengali nationalism and the history of various movements and struggles including secularism.
