As soon as the coronavirus infection rate drops to 10 percent, first the university and then other educational institutions will open step by step, said the Minister of Education Dipu Moni.

The minister was responding to a question from reporters on the occasion of National Mourning Day at the International Mother Tongue Institute on Sunday (August 15).

"We have made various plans at different times to open educational institutions," she said. As the situation worsened, she had to retract from that decision. Now, considering the rate of corona infection, the death rate, the overall situation, the time has not yet come for us to say when we will be able to open an educational institution.

The education minister said if the current corona situation in the country comes under control, SSC exams will be held in November and HSC exams in December.

She added that the overall corona infection in the country is now declining. However, the infection rate is still above 20 percent. We hope this rate will come down gradually. So, if the situation becomes a little more normal, first SSC, then HSC exams will be taken.

Dr. Dipu Moni said about the opening of secondary level educational institutions. I will take the students to the educational institution six days a week, that is not the case. We will take the students to the educational institution with a break at the beginning. In this way, the students will be taken to the educational institution step by step.
