The Provost Standing Committee of Dhaka University has decided to open residential halls in the first week of October for undergraduate (honors) fourth year and postgraduate students.

On Tuesday (August 24) evening after the meeting of the Provost Committee, the University Proctor Professor Dr. AKM Golam Rabbani informed the media about this.

Proctor said if the students are vaccinated by September 15, they will be able to open residential halls in early October. At the beginning of the final year of graduation and Masters students will be able to get up. Everyone will be able to get up in mid-November.

"A large portion of our students have not been vaccinated," he said. We call on all students to be vaccinated by September 15.

The first case of coronavirus infection (Covid-19) in the country was identified on March 8 last year. And all the educational institutions of the country were declared closed on March 17 of that year. Later, due to the upward transmission of corona, the government has increased it in stages till August 31 of the current year.
