Flood-hit institutions not to open on September 12

Educational institutions from primary to higher secondary level, which have been closed for more than a year and a half due to corona, will reopen on September 12. 

But at this time there is no obligation to open schools in flood-hit areas of the country, said the Directorate  of Secondary and Higher Education.

Tuesday (September 7), Director General of the Directorate  of Secondary and Higher Education Syed Md. Golam Farooq has given this information.

In this regard, the Director General of the Directorate  said, there is no need to open schools in the flood-hit areas of the country and teach classes now. They will start teaching the class later. The fact that many schools are being used as shelters is also being given importance.

About ten districts of the country have been inundated by torrential rains and downpours. As a result, the lower and char areas of these areas have been flooded and many schools have been flooded. 

Educational institutions in flood-hit areas are being used as shelters. After being closed for a long year and a half, classes are being started in all the primary, secondary and higher secondary level educational institutions of the country from September 12. At the inter-ministerial meeting on September 5, it was decided to open the educational institutions.

A new decision will be taken after meeting with the Vice-Chancellors to open public and private universities, said the education minister. Dipu Moni.

Meanwhile, the Directorate  of Secondary and Higher Education has issued 19-point instructions to prepare for the reopening of educational institutions from primary to higher secondary level, which have been closed for more than a year and a half due to corona.
