RT-PCR lab to be installed within 3 days

In the next three to six days, the RT-PCR lab of Corona test will be set up at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA).

This information was given in a letter signed by Senior Assistant Secretary on Wednesday (September 15) Senior Assistant Secretary of the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Sarwar Jiban.

The Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment has approved seven companies to set up RT-PCR laboratories at HSIA.

The  organizations are Stamz Health Care (BD) Limited, CSBF Health Center, AMZ Hospital Limited, Anwar Khan Modern Medical College Hospital, Zainul Haque Sikder Women's Medical College and Hospital, Gulshan Clinic Limited and DMFR Molecular.

The letter said the Health Directorate has proposed the names of the seven organizations. The Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment has approved these seven organizations.

Of the seven organizations, Stemz Health Care will be able to set up laboratories at the airport within three days, the ministry said. Outbound passengers at the airport will be able to test corona samples here at a cost of Tk. 2,000. It will take five days to set up the lab of CSBF Health Center, the cost of the sample test will be Tk.1650.

The letter further said that AMZ Hospital will be able to set up the laboratory in five days and it will charge Tk. 1,600 for the sample test. Anwar Khan Modern Medical College Hospital will be able to set up a laboratory in four days and will charge TK. 2,000 for a sample test.

Zainul Haque Sikder Women's Medical College wanted six days to set up the laboratory and demanded a cost of Tk. 1,600 for each sample test. The Gulshan Clinic said that it will be able to set up a laboratory in five days, the charge of which will be Tk. 1,650. And the DMFR will take four days to set up the laboratory, where the sample test cost is Tk. 2,300.
