Director General of the Directorate of Health, Prof. Abul Basar Mohammad Khurshid Alam outlined a detailed plan for immunization activities, saying registered and unregistered people over 60 will be asked to get vaccinated through spot registration on a one-day basis every week.

He said the country has adequate stock of vaccines. The source of future vaccinations has been confirmed. In continuation of this, a plan has been taken to vaccinate about two crore people including one crore every month through the campaign.

"Schools and colleges have been reopened, so we have to move out of the schools and colleges where vaccination programs used to take place," he said. In this situation, I will make arrangements for vaccination in the health complexes as well as in the upazila auditorium and in any big hall room of the upazila.

The DG of Health further said that in addition to regular vaccinations at the union level, vaccinations will be given at Health sub-centers, union Health and family welfare centers through Health Assistants.
