The main formality of the Sharadia Durga Puja starts from today. Today is Tuesday Mahasaptami. Today, Mahasaptami has the formalities of entering and placing the new magazine of Goddess Durga at 8:59 am, the beginning of Saptamadi Kalparmbha and Mahasaptami Vihit Puja. The invitation and abode of the Goddess was held on Monday the Sashthi. In the morning, the invocation of the Goddess under the wood apple tree, the invocation of the worship of Goddess 'Trinayani' Durga with the help of Sankalpa and the domicile in the evening were held. From yesterday, in the mandapas of the country, including the capital, dhak bowls, chandi and mantra recitations, bronze bells, conch shells and uludhvani became popular.

In the scriptures, in Mahasaptami, the goddess will be worshiped with sixteen upachars (sixteen elements). The goddess will be worshiped with seats, clothes, offerings, bathing, garlands and sandalwood. Then the devotees will lay wreaths at the feet of the goddess in the hope of receiving grace. The five-day festival will end on Wednesday with Mahashtami on Wednesday, Mahanabami on Thursday and Vijaya Dashami on Friday.

According to the Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad, this time Durga Puja is being performed in more than 32,000 permanent and temporary mandapas across the country. Worship is being done in 238 mandapas in Dhaka. Compared to last year, worship has increased by 1,900. Puja is being held at the National Temple Dhakeswari, Ramna Kali Mandir and Ma Anandamoyee Ashram, Jagannath Hall of Dhaka University, Khamarbari of Farmgate and Gulshan-Banani Public Puja Mandap in the capital.

The organizers have announced various plans to comply with the hygiene rules. Therefore, those who come to the mandapa are being encouraged to wear masks. As a precaution, the attraction of Vijaya Dashmi is not being paraded as well as discouraging the organization of mass gatherings.

Shailendra Nath Majumder Desh, president of Dhaka Mahanagar Puja Udjapan committee, said, "All our preparations have been completed." Last year there were fewer visitors due to the deterioration of the coronavirus situation. But this time, as the situation is under control, I hope the number of visitors will increase. All measures including strengthening security have been taken.
