The day is being celebrated in Bangladesh along with the rest of the world on Tuesday. This time the theme of the day is 'It's not too late, now is the time to treat arthritis'.

Arthritis is an inflammatory disease of two joints in the human body usually referred to as inflammation of the joints, also known as arthritis. According to the Arthritis Foundation Atlanta, one of the leading causes of inactivity is arthritis. The day has been celebrated under the auspices of Arthritis and Rheumatism International since 1996.

Experts say that tennis elbow and elbow problems are one of the problems of arthritis. The main cause of joint pain is inflammation. Although there are no accurate statistics, the number of arthritis sufferers worldwide is not low. Injury to the tennis elbow is a national problem. This problem is called tennis elbow because tennis players are more prone to this problem. Such problems can occur due to wrong techniques in sports like cricket, golf, badminton, volleyball and archery. At the beginning of the problem, pain is felt on the outside of the elbow. The pain may be more intense with hand movements or activities. If this continues for a long time, the strength of the muscles and the efficiency of the hands decrease.

On the occasion of the day, a scientific seminar will be organized by the Department of Rheumatology, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). BSMMU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Sharfuddin Ahmed, Director of the National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital Professor Kazi Deen Mohammad and others will be present.
