Six officers with the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) have been transferred.
A circular signed by Dhananjay Kumar Das, deputy secretary of the police-1 branch of the public security division of the home ministry, said this on Monday.
Among the six transferred officers -- Biplob Kumar Sarkar, in charge of Rangpur District, was transferred to Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) as Deputy Commissioner (DC) while Police headquarters’ AIG Md Ferdous Ali Chowdhury was transferred to Rangpur as police super.
The circular said that SP of Feni Khandker Nurunnabi was transferred to Police headquarters as AIG while another police headquarters’ AIG Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun was transferred to Feni as SP.
It said that Bijoy Boshak, DC of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP), was transferred to CID while police headquarters’ AIG Sohel Rana was transferred to CMP as DC and Sanjoy Sarkar, DC of Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP), was transferred to Chattogram Range as SP.
