The cabinet has approved in principle the draft of 'Bangladesh Public Service Commission Act, 2021' with the provision of imprisonment from 3 years to maximum 10 years.
The approval was given at a cabinet meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair on Tuesday (October 19).
Ministers and state ministers from the Cabinet Division in the Prime Minister's Office and the Secretariat attended the meeting via video conference.
Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam announced the approval at a press briefing at the Secretariat after the meeting.
The cabinet secretary said that according to the draft law, those involved in leaking question have been given maximum 10 years imprisonment, minimum 3 years imprisonment and fine.
