Crimes against humanity: verdict against BNP leader Momin any day

Dhaka: The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) for trying the crimes against the humanity will announce its verdict on Abdul Momin Talukder, a former BNP MP from Bogura, in a case of murder, genocide and other crimes against humanity committed during the 1971 war of liberation.

On Monday (November 1) the order was issued the chairman of the ICT Justice Shahinur Islam.

Subid Ali, a freedom fighter from Kayetpara village in Adamdighi, filed the case against BNP central leader Abdul Momin in 2011 on charges of murder, looting and arson in 1971.

The court directed the OC of Adamdighi police station to record the case as FIR. The case was later transferred to the International Criminal Tribunal for trial.
