Warm reception to the Prime Minister at Elysee Palace

On the first day of her visit to France, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was accorded a warm reception at the Elysee Palace. Upon arrival at the Presidential Palace, the Presidential Guard saluted the Prime Minister.

Later, Sheikh Hasina was received by the President of France Emanuel Macho. Then the two leaders went upstairs. They took part in two photo sessions at the reception and on the way up.

After giving a brief statement, they left for lunch and private discussion.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen, Minister of Education Dipu Moni, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister Ahmed Kaikaus, Foreign Secretary Masood bin Momen and Bangladesh Ambassador Khandaker Mohammad Talha. Later, the Republican Guard presented a guard of honor to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh.

In the evening, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina held a bilateral meeting with French Prime Minister Jean Costa Rica. The meeting was held at the official residence of the French Prime Minister, Matigan.

Sheikh Hasina arrived in Paris this morning from London to attend the 75th anniversary of UNESCO and to present the first ever UNESCO-Bangladesh Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman International Prize for Creative Economy for creative economy.

During the Prime Minister's stay in Paris, Guillaume Fourier, CEO of Airbus, and Eric Trapier, President of Dassault Aviation, Patrice Kane, president of Thales, will pay courtesy calls at his residence on Wednesday.

She will meet with high-profile representatives of the French business firm MEDEF. She was met by French Defense Minister Florence Parle.

Later in the afternoon, she will visit the French Senate, where she will be given a formal reception in the ongoing Senate session. On November 11, Sheikh Hasina will join the Paris Peace Forum.

Later, she will attend the award ceremony of UNESCO-Bangladesh Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman International Prize for Creative Economy at UNESCO Headquarters. From there she will travel to the Elysee Palace to attend a dinner hosted in her honor by French President Emmanuel Macho.

On November 12, Sheikh Hasina will attend the Paris Peace Forum and take part in a high-level panel discussion on South-South and trilateral cooperation.

Later, she will go to the UNESCO headquarters to attend the inaugural session of the 75th anniversary of the founding of UNESCO, where she will deliver her speech.

She will attend a dinner hosted by UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azole in honor of the Government and Heads of State.

On November 13, Sheikh Hasina will attend a civic reception organized by the expatriate Bangladeshis living in Paris. She will leave Charles de Gaulle International Airport on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines VVIP flight at 4 pm (local time) and land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 10 am local time on November 14.

Earlier, on November 3, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in London from Glasgow after attending the World Leaders Summit and other events in COP-26.

On October 31, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in the Scottish port city of Glasgow on a two-week visit to the United Kingdom and France.
