65 Assistant District Judges of the Judiciary have been promoted to the post of Joint-District Judge and 97 have been appointed as Probationer Assistant Judges. The government has also changed the offices of 388 judicial officers.
The Law and Justice Department, in consultation with the Supreme Court, on Thursday (November 25) issued five notifications of these transfers, promotions and appointments.
333 assistant judges and equivalent judges and 48 joint district judges have been transferred. Seven joint district judges have been attached to the law and justice departments to be appointed as research and reference officers along with judges of the Appellate Division.
65 Assistant District Judges have been promoted to the post of Joint District Judge.
Besides, on the basis of the recommendation of the Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission dated March 2, the Law and Justice Department has issued a circular appointing 97 candidates as temporary apprentice assistant judges according to their merit.
