Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Technology Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy has said that BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia has surpassed her husband in 'barbarism'. Sajeeb Wazed Joy made the remarks in a post on his verified Facebook page on Sunday night.
Joy wrote in his Facebook post that Ziaur Rahman gave the opportunity to work abroad safely without judging the killers of Bangabandhu and four national leaders. But his wife Khaleda Zia has also surpassed her husband's brutality. The murderer Khairuzzaman was imprisoned in 199 to face trial for Bangabandhu murder. But while the trial was on, but in 2001 when Khaleda Zia became Prime Minister in 2001 the killer was released from prison and was appointed as ambassador to Myanmar.
He wrote that the BNP-Jamaat alliance had a special blessing for the murderer Khairuzzaman. After the assassination of Bangabandhu and his family and the brutal assassination of four national leaders in prison, he was posted in Egypt in 1975. After that, with the blessings of Ziaur Rahman, he was continuously promoted in the job of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was even made the High Commissioner to Malaysia.
Joy said that during the time of Khaleda Zia in 1991, this murderous Khairuzzaman had moved all over the country showing power. Administration officials were always terrified by his power. As a close confidante of Khaleda Zia, she was the acting ambassador to the Philippines until 1996. But in 1996 the BNP government collapsed and the Awami League formed the government. The murderer Khairuzzaman was then dismissed from his job as the accused in the jail murder case. He was then put in jail through a judicial process. But the BNP-Jamaat alliance came to power again in 2001 through a conspiracy. At first, they stopped the trial of Bangabandhu and four other national leaders. Even after taking oath as the Prime Minister, Khaleda Zia directly ordered the release of Khairuzzaman, the murderer in jail.
Joy further wrote in the post that on the instructions of Khaleda Zia, the killer Khairuzzaman was first transferred from the jail to Bangabandhu Hospital and then he was released. Khaleda Zia's arbitrariness does not stop here. On his instructions, the killer Khairuzzaman was promoted to the post of Additional Secretary and sent as the Ambassador to Myanmar. Later, when the term of BNP-Jamaat alliance expired, he ran away from work.
