Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been included in the list of 100 most powerful women of the famous American magazine Forbes. She is ranked 43rd in the list published on Tuesday (December 7).
Each year, Forbes publishes a list of the 100 most powerful women in the world. Forbes' annual list of the 18th most powerful women includes 40 CEOs, 19 world leaders and an immunologist for the first time in more than a decade.
The list of the 100 most powerful women in the world comes from 30 countries and regions and they work in finance, technology, politics, philanthropy, entertainment and more.
At the top of Forbes list is Mackenzie Scott, the ex-wife of e-commerce giant Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and a social worker-writer. In second place is US Vice President Kamala Harris. In third place is Christine Laggard, President of the European Central Bank. Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom is in 70th place.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is currently serving her fourth term in the longest term in the history of Bangladesh. She won her fourth term, her third in a row, and her party, the Bangladesh Awami League, won 288 of the 300 parliamentary seats.
