The new type of coronavirus Omicron has been identified in Bangladesh.

The government's Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) confirmed the information on Saturday (December 11).

The agency said a new type of corona, Omicron, has been identified in the bodies of the two men who had returned from Zimbabwe. One of them is 21 years old and the other is 30 years old. Their samples were collected on December 6.

On November 7, the first highly contagious variant, Omicron, was identified in South Africa. The virus has already spread to more than 50 countries. The World Health Organization (WHO) has expressed concern over a new type of coronavirus, Omicron. Concerned scientists too.
