She made the call while inaugurating the newly constructed National Science and Technology Complex in Agargaon via video conference from Ganobhaban on Thursday (January 13) morning.
The Prime Minister said Omicron is spreading fast. So I will tell everyone to follow the health care and we have already given some instructions and everyone will follow those instructions.
Calling for coronavirus vaccination, the head of government said those who have not yet been vaccinated will be vaccinated soon. School children shall have also been vaccinated. Vaccination will at least save lives.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Zahid Malek said on Wednesday (January 12) that the way the infection was spreading, it was understood that Omicron's community transmission had slowed down a bit.
Now 15 to 20 percent of those who are affected by Corona are affected by Omicron. So I think there has been a community transmission.
The Prime Minister said that along with the research, we are emphasizing on how this research knowledge can be used for our socio-economic development. Emphasis should be placed on basic research as well as applied research. Researchers will definitely work on this.
